Former President Thabo Mbeki believes the fragmentation of the voice of Black business is making it impossible to achieve economic emancipation. Mbeki says new business leaders in black communities need to emulate people such as Dr. Sam Motsuenyane if the ideal of a truly liberated South Africa is to be realised.
The former President was speaking to the SABC ahead of an event to honour the man regarded as the father of Black Business, Dr. Sam Motsuenyane, who led the National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry, NAFCOC for 24 years.

in an open letter.
BBC President Sandile Zungu told the SABC that the letter only sought to undermine the success of the 2019 Black Business Summit.
